It is common information that Jailbreaking an IOS device provides you with access to Cydia which has such a huge collection of tweaks, themes and apps that even surpasses the Apple Apps store. Jailbreaking gives users total freedom to customise their devices in any manner they wish by using all of Cydia’s resources.
After downloading such a wide array of Cydia apps, plugins etc it is imperative that you have some sort of backup against new jailbreaks to keep your purchases and downloads safely. We’ll show how.
Cydia, just like Apple’s Apps Store, keeps a record of all installable purchases. Just visit the installable purchases after login in the ‘Manage Accounts’ window in Cydia and you’ll find a whole collection of ‘non-free’ resources for free download again without any purchase. Of course keep your Cydia login details safely. In case the developer tweaks some feature of an app before you can download it, you’ll need a local backup to get it again.
For this, OpenBackup is the most favourable free option and it can be downloaded in Cydia. It can save all Cydia packages to the iphone’s file system via a sync cable connection. To re-jailbreak our device, reinstalling OpenBackup and tapping ‘Restore’ option does the job.
