The iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users can now install Cydia apps and Winterboard themes with the help of evasi0n iOS 6.1 jailbreak. We are yet to hear from the developers of evasi0n iOS 6.1 on the success of their evasi0n 6.1 which has jailbroken millions of devices in the last four days and it can be witnessed from the number of devices that are connecting to Cydia apps.
A spokesman from Cydia App store has said in a statement that over 7 million iOS devices including 5.15 million iPhones, 1.35 million iPads and 400,000 iPod touches have visited the app store since the launch of evasi0n iOS 6.1 – first iPhone 5 jailbreak tool.
Cydia is a third party app store which is accessible only though iOS jailbroken devices. It is very much similar to Amazon app store as in Android devices. Cydia app store features millions of apps for users including those which aren’t made available on Apple App store. Cydia app store has also made available Cydia tweaks for users which allow iOS users to change the working of iPhone. It also features Winterboard themes allowing users to customize their iPhones and iPads.
This count of 7 millions is just 2 percent of total iOS 6 users. So the developers of evasi0n are expecting more towards the success of their software, given the popularity of Cydia apps. With Cydia users can download millions of apps including Winterboard themes and tweaks.
