The users on the internet were surprised to get a fake Cydia app uploaded to the Apple App Store by a developer Nel Sinelnikova. The developer tried to fool users by making them think that the package has jailbreak tools and tweaks as it mimicked Cydia icon.
As per the iPhone hacks, the app will not allow the users to install jailbreak tweaks and apps on the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. The description of the application was deceptive and warned the users, but there were users who ended up buying the app.
The app has been removed from the App Store after some users posted negative reviews about the app. Cydia developer Saurik-aka-Jay Freeman published a review which warned users not to buy the app.
He stated in the review, “The product is a fake one. It is using the name of Cydia and is trying to take money from the users by alluring them to buy this app.”
The app was sold at $0.99 previously and the developer had made quite a lot amount of money by doing so. Some are trying to get the money refunded and others are repenting on their mistakes. The app is simply a clone of snake game, which we have been playing since childhood.
